What is racial profiling?
Racial profiling is the use of race or ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of having committed an offense.
Racial profiling refers to the targeting of particular individuals by law enforcement authorities based not on their behavior, but rather their personal characteristics. It is generally used to encompass more than simply an individual's race.

Discourses
Often people grow up in a specific discourse. James Gee states that a discourse is a way of "saying-doing-being-valueing-believing combination". What he is talking about is that people are born into a specific discourse which can be said to be a type of "identity-kit". People may consider a discourse as a type of stereotype and often when people learn about another discourse other then their own discourse is through stereotypes that are learned in their own discourse.
